MUSIC IN THE PARISH

ST. PAUL'S CHOIR
We are a happy choir who enjoy singing together. We enjoy
singing good quality church music. We have one main practice
a week on Fridays at 7pm. We also practice for an hour on
the 2nd &4th Sundays before Choral Evensongs.
Our mission is to make music an attractive and an inspirational
part of the services. The choir is also a channel to attract new
members into the church who enjoy singing.
Once a month we have a choir social after Choral Evensong. We also encourage
our members to take part in the training days and the training schemes promoted
by the R.S.C.M. (The Royal School of Church Music)
In recent years we have frequently enjoyed being able to sing in our local
Cathedrals of Brecon and St. David's. These are very exciting and enjoyable
occasions and we are very privileged to be able to do this from time to time. In
June 2008 we sang the services at St. David's Cathedral.
In 2009 we will be singing the services in Brecon Cathedral at the end of July.
We welcome anyone who would like to join us of whatever age or ability. Anyone
can learn to sing! No experience
is necessary. -
need of a few altos. Are there any aspiring Kathleen Ferriers or Janet Bakers out
there who would like to try ??
