   HOUSE-GROUPS meet weekly from September to June to explore the Christian faith, pray and socialise. More details from Graham

  Wattley .  

   MUSIC: Music is at the heart of church life. The CHOIR  continues to increase its repertoire and develop new performances for St Paul's and

  elsewhere, while   supporting the weekly congregations in their praise. Practice is on Fridays at 7.15 pm - talk to Richard Burden . The

   MUSIC/SINGING GROUP leads  the praise at the 9.30 Sunday service with a range of contemporary worship songs. New members of the choir

  and the music group are welcome.

   ALPHA GROUPS are run once a year for those who want to find out more about Christianity and discover if the Christian way is for them.

   BELL RINGING: Novices to experts are welcome to join the bell ringing team (there are eight bells, tenor 13-2-4 in F). Practice Tuesday

   evenings 7.30-9.00, ring  for the morning services on Sundays from 10.30. Contact the tower captain, Hilary Rose.

   WALKING: Enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful Gower countryside (3-5 miles), usually followed by a pub meal. Graham and Rose

  Wattley can give more details.

  CONTEMPLATIVE PRAYER GROUP: Thoughtful, meditative silent prayer is at the heart of this group led by Sister Marian. The emphasis is

  on listening to God  and seeking his will as participants grow in spiritual awareness. There are further details at www.sistermarian.info. Talk to

 Sister Marian about getting  involved.

   DRAMA GROUP: (Sketty Players): This group of enthusiastic amateurs meets every Thursday evening to rehearse for two productions a

  year.  Awards are unlikely; fun is guaranteed. New members always welcome. Sociability, but not talent, is essential! If you think you might like to

  get  involved,  contact Sue James .

   WOMEN’S GROUPS: THE CHURCHWOMEN’S GUILD provides a meeting ground for Christian fellowship and to support the church's

  work, and the MOTHERS’ UNION  (the UK's largest Christian charity) is flourishing and provides important practical help locally and further

  afield (find out more at the                                                    See Winnie  Kerr for the guild and Yvonne Garrish for the MU. WOMEN ON

  WEDNESDAY is an   open group that's committed to promoting friendship among women, and  meets every second Wednesday of each month

   (except August). More details from  Maureen Amner.

  CARING GROUP :The caring group, built on Christ's word to love our neighbour, seeks to bring practical and personal help to those who need

  it, perhaps through illness, bereavement, or in any other way. The contact person is Joyce Cole.

  FELLOWSHIP GROUP This group promotes fellowship by assisting at or instigating social event successes have been a parish  dinner, a harvest

  buffet and an Autumn Fayre, as well as help with the church's pantomime and its nativity service (where the mulled wine, mince  pies and

  chocolates soon  disappeared).  

  AND THERE’S MORE ... THE SEWING GROUP provides decorated linen for the church (altar cloths for example) and repairs other linen

  and vestments. They meet  every Monday afternoon, 2.00-4.00 (see Margaret Jones). There's a MISSION GROUP (chaired by ANDREW KNIGHT)

  bringing news, inspiration and education about mission locally, nationally and worldwide. There's a MAGAZINE (contributions to the editor

  There's PRACTICAL WORK   to do  around the   church ... in fact why not come along and find

   out  for yourself what St Paul's and Holy Trinity have to offer.
